As director of the county economic development office, I have
sent both of my grant writing employees to the (ARRIVE, LLC)
Grant Writing Seminar. As expected the experience has proven
to be a very valuable one. In the past an average year
for our office would bring in between $2 2.2 million in
grant dollars. This year we will exceed $8 million.
Sammie Danford, Director
Cullman County Economic Development
Before I wrote my first grant, I was encouraged to attend
this program (ARRIVE, LLC Grant Writing Seminar) . . . I never
imagined I would come out of these two days with such great knowledge
and a written grant proposal in hand. The instructor was
wonderful. I have returned two additional times to this
workshop (as an alumnus) and I have learned something new every
time, and thus far I have received over $700,000 of grant funding.
Now in my second year of grant writing, I am still waiting
for replies on $900,000 worth of applications in progress.

The Seminar was filled with effective, insightful information.
I picked up far more than I originally anticipated . .
. .
. . . building the "File Cabinet", as taught at
this seminar, streamlines the grant writing process, and is the
most essential tool to have at your finger-tips while writing
every grant. This one insight alone has doubled the number
of grant proposals I am able to complete . . . .
. . . the Instructor made this seminar "Two Days of Fun"
while providing me an expanded understand of funding sources,
as well as equipping me with invaluable skills to concisely target
grant proposals to the funder's requirements.

"I attended the Pittsburgh Fundamentals of Grant Writing
and Funding Resources Seminar in April 2009. It was fabulous--thanks
for everything you shared with us . . . .
I'd like to be able to offer your Seminar to any of my doctoral
students who would want to attend.
What are the possibilities for making this work for them this
fall?"

"(The Instructor was) very knowledgeable and (demonstrated
a) good ability to adapt instruction to class needs. Great Resouce
Manual that I can use for the future. The File Cabinet
concept is wonderful!

(The Instructor was) well informed, lively, amusing and downright
entertaining. (The Seminar) was very good, it simplified
the process, and took out the "fear" factor. Eager
to read the manual in toto. (My experience at this seminar)
was very intriguing. I had been afraid it might be stodgy
and boring, yet it was anything but.

(The Instructor) was professional, personable, knowledgeable
of material, and seems to be very experienced. (The Seminar)
was very informational with specific step-by-step instructions.
There is so much information in the (training manual) that
you could receive it by mail and get a good idea of how to write
a grant.
